Graduated from the Gnesins Academy of Music in 2000 and completed her post-graduate studies in 2002. In 2002, she joined the Kolobov Novaya Opera Theatre. Here she works on almost all the repertoire of the theatre, takes part in tours, prepares and performs concert programmes with Novaya Opera soloists. She has prepared and performed the following concert programmes: Wagner and His Contemporaries (jointly with Alexander Zhilenkov), Musical Literature, Flute Jumble, This Is Pure Bacchus and Romancing the Harpsichord, Only Venice, Bach’s Birthday, The evening of Tchaikovsky’s Romances and Victoria Yarovaya’s recital. Tatyana Sotnikova participates in the theatre’s concerts at MIPAC and the State Darwin Museum.
Since 2004, she has been teaching in the Gnesins Academy of Music.
Tatyana Sotnikova is a prize-winner of the Amber Nightingale international competition.
