Marina Efanova

She graduated from the Glinka Novosibirsk State Conservatory in 1996. In 1996-2000, she worked in the Novosibirsk State Opera and Ballet Theatre, where she sang the Queen of the Night in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, Musetta in Puccini’s La boheme and other roles.

Since 2000, Marina Efanova has been a soloist at the Novaya Opera Theatre.

The singer worked with the Russian State Academic Choir directed by Valery Polyansky. When collaborating with the Choir, she performed as Oksana in Tchaikovsky’s Cherevichki, Zemfira in Rachmaninoff’s Aleko and Mermaid in Dargomyzhsky’s The Mermaid. She also took part in concerts with Rozhdestvensky, Polyansky, Stadler, and Ponkin, performing cantatas and oratorios by Haydn, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, and Mahler. She toured extensively in Russia and abroad.

Since 2018, she has been the head of the Academic Singing Department at the Ippolitov-Ivanov State Musical Pedagogical Institute.

In 2010, she received a commendation from the Russian Presidential Administration for useful work in culture.

  • Winner of the First Prize of the St. Petersburg Spring-2010 International Competition and Festival
  • Commemorative medal “In Honour of Heroic Deeds of Partisans and Underground Fighters” for her contribution to the Bryansk region’s culture
