Graduated from the Piano Department of the Urals State Conservatory (Prof. Kutsenko’s class, 1995). Dmitry started his artistic career as a pianist in 1996, giving recitals and performing as an accompanist in instrumental and vocal ensembles with prominent Russian and international opera singers, such as Chernov, Vedernikov, Palm, Yatich, Gugushvili, Sibirtsev, Usenbaeva, Abdrazakov, and with young opera stars Kazakov, Shtonda, Yanishevsky, Norvelis, Baikov, Kiselyov, Guzhov, Kudinov, Davydov, Paster, Urusov, Zakharov, Manistina, Shagimuratova and others.

Dmitry is a member of a famous musical dynasty. His grandfather, Alexander Zuev, the first button accordion of the Alexandrov Song and Dance Ensemble of the Soviet Army, took part in making the soundtracks for some of the best Russian films, such as Tractor Drivers and Symphony of Life. His uncle, Sergey Zuev, was a tenor honoured with the title of Distinguished Artist of Russia. Dmitry’s father, Alexander Sibirtsev, is a renowned Russian tenor, People’s Artist of Russia, Honoured Arts Worker of Poland, holder of the Glinka State Prize of Russia (for the part of Pierre Bezukhov in Prokofiev’s opera War and Peace),professor, director (between 1992 and 2001) and a leading soloist of the Samara Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre.

Dmitry Sibirtsev takes part in practically all music and opera festivals in Russia; at more than ten All-Russia and international competitions he has won prizes in the Best Accompanist category. Dmitry is the creator, organizer and artistic director of the Basses of the 21st Century opera festival. Between 2002 and 2006 he was the music director of the Irina Arkhipova Foundation projects. He was a member of the award panel of the Glinka International Singers’ Contest, held in Chelyabinsk in 2005, and of the Open All-Russia Competition of Young Singers The Sun Shines For All (Sochi, 2006; Moscow, 2007). He has performed on tour in more than 150 cities in Russia and also in the USA, Canada, South Korea, Austria, Germany, Spain, Italy, Macedonia, Montenegro, Sweden, Poland, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Belarus, and Ukraine. As an accompanist, he has recorded numerous CDs with opera singers Paster, Davydov, Antonov, to name a few. Since 2006, he has been the artistic director and producer of the Tenors of the 21st Century art project, performing in its programmes as a singer and a pianist.

Dmitry Sibirtsev holds a National Treasure prize and the Worship to the Arts Gold Order for his contribution to the development of the arts and successful producer activity. In 2013, he was awarded the Moscow City Literature and Arts Prize in the Musical Art nomination for popularizing classical opera through the Tenors of the 21st Century art project.

In 2012—2020, Dmitry Sibirtsev is the Director of the Kolobov Novaya Opera Theatre of Moscow.

Dmitry Sibirtsev is an author and a participant (piano) of the Chamber Music Festivals in the Mirror Foyer of Novaya Opera: The Sviridov Age, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the composer’s birth, and the Singing Crossroads annual festival (since 2014). He also prepared and participated in the Vocal Music of the Russian Composers soiree, dedicated to the 200th anniversary of Dargomyzhsky’s birth, All Verdi Songs (as part of the Two Masters — Two Worlds Festival),Passion, Nursery, Igor Golovatenko's Recital, Italian Songs: Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3, Russian Classical Romance (as part of the Veronika Dzhioeva Festival Opera Space).
