In 2010, he graduated from the Moscow Art Theatre School (Department of Performance Design Technology). In 2007 to 2011, he worked as a lighting designer at the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Music Theatre where he worked as an assistant on the productions of Verdi’s La forza del destino and Offenbach’s Les Contes d’Hoffmann. In 2010 to 2015, he was the director of the stage design department the Oleg Tabakov Drama School of Moscow and after that in the Oleg Tabakov Theatre of Moscow (2015–2016).
At the same time, Timofey Ermolin was a lighting designer at the Moscow Variety Theatre (2013–2015),the technical director and lighting designer in the recital projects of the prima ballerina Ulyana Lopatkina (2010–2015),the chief lighting designer at the Fellow Citizens International Theatre Festival in Saransk (Mordovia, 2006–2008),the technical director of the Russian team in Emir Kusturica’s Time of the Gypsies at the Paris Opera (2013).
Since 2016, he has been the Stage Department Director at the Novaya Opera Theatre.
